Was reading some yammering fool in the MSM earlier this week (no, I won't link o him - why encourage such chatterers?) and found the following gem:

Title 3, Section 102, Compensation of the President.
The President shall receive . . . compensation of $400,000 a year, to be paid monthly, and in addition, an expense allowance of $50,000 to assist in defraying expenses relating to or resulting from the discharge of his official duties.”

Whoa, Nellie!

ATM card? Folded over roll of the new Big Head $100? Make a secret service agent carry that and the keys to Crawford in their man purse?

Oh, yeah, and the best part of all:

Act [of] Jan. 19. 1949 gave President a yearly expense account of $50,000 for which he was to make no accounting.

Yea verily, he is the LEADER of the expense report free world.

Find The Boots

An executive goes on a business trip. When he arrives, it's raining cats and dogs. To avoid ruining his shoes, he purchases a pair of galoshes for $15, which he expenses under "Misc." on his expense report. A week later, the accounting department rejects his expense report, with a post-it note that says that the company does not reimburse for items of clothing. The next trip, the executive turns in an expense report without the galoshes, but with a post-it note that says "FIND THE BOOTS!".
