Thanks to falconr10 for this link from TV Guide.com that reports that Jericho may get renewed for 8 episodes via email:
My spies caution that this is in no way official, but it certainly sounds like it could be by day's end.
The fans shouldn't get too excited, it's not a deal until the check clears. It's not over until the fat lady sings.

But I think I can hear her warming up backstage. If this just turns out to be a false rumor, CBS would be well served to look at the positive reaction they're getting.

    Not quite official. There's many a slip between the cup and the lip. Whenever you've got 90% of a business deal done, you're ready to start the other 90%.

    But certainly better news than when CBS said it's just business and the ratings weren't there.
