In one year, firearms killed no children in Japan, 19 in Great Britain, 57 in Germany, 109 in France, 153 in Canada, and 5,285 in the United States.

Yes, and they are less likely to die by abortion, riot by "youths", drowning in a backyard pool, etc, etc.

What is a child to the Brady Bunch? 19 year olds. What is death by gun? Suicide.

Hey, betcha Japan, with the developed world's highest suicide rate, should use that logic to ban cars, trains, and pills (top three choices).

Oh, and according to the CDC:
1> 58% were homicide (so much for accidental shootings)
2> 33% were suicide (ditto)

By my public school math calculations that is 91% of all gun related deaths.

Look, the US has a different population, not just because of the illegal aliens flooding over our border (I betcha a bunch a money that the liberal anti-constitutional twits at Brady also support "immigration reform!") - we have a younger country, bigger country, and a faster grown country. We also have a wider income disparity, if that makes any difference.

Luckily we also have a constitutional process for revoking legal protections so the second is alive and well.
