SNL and the TSA

This a very funny SNL skit about Homeland Security. (If the embeddy thing at YouTube isn't working right, so I just gave you a link over there.)

Of course the point isn't that our ports are under protected (they probably are), the point is that it's easy to bash the TSA because they're visible.

There is a tremendous amount of non-visible security going on, which, lukily, has not become the target of the NY Times. Yet. Because I think we all know that if the Times or Post found out that there was a fundamental flaw in US security they would publish it in a second.

Find The Boots

An executive goes on a business trip. When he arrives, it's raining cats and dogs. To avoid ruining his shoes, he purchases a pair of galoshes for $15, which he expenses under "Misc." on his expense report. A week later, the accounting department rejects his expense report, with a post-it note that says that the company does not reimburse for items of clothing. The next trip, the executive turns in an expense report without the galoshes, but with a post-it note that says "FIND THE BOOTS!".
